Sierra Trading Post is on of our favorite stores where you can always find great deals with or without a coupon.
Today we talk about Sierra Trading Post and the savings you'll find on outdoorsy type clothing and products. At first glance I really liked the store and found half dozen things I would like to get for myself and Annie. Sierra Trading Post claims that you can save 35 to 70% every day off the retail price. They do this by purchasing closeouts, overstocks and seconds and pass the savings on to us.

Howard: So Annie, what do you think of the site? Doesn't it remind you of my favorite store that was closed down in the Oaks Mall?
Annie: You certainly loved window shopping at Eddie Bauer's. Perhaps we should have bought something instead of just looking. Then maybe the store would still be there.
Howard: Yes, but you know how cheap I am and I like to buy things on sale and it seemed like we missed all the good sales there. Anyway, let's get back to our Sierra Trading Post review.
Annie: Okay. The first thing I noticed was that they published their coupon codes right on their homepage. They really want you to buy $100 worth of stuff so in return they'll knock off an extra 20% off.
Howard: Even better, they also send out e-mail specials. Just for signing up to DealFlyer, they sent me a 25% off coupon if we spend 75 bucks. But, that's probably a one-time deal. Did you hover your mouse over the shopping cart icon?
Annie: It is so nice to see what's in your cart without switching pages.
Howard: Yeah, they also give you the subtotal excluding the shipping. Did you try the checkout?
Annie: It's pretty much standard where you have to log in to their site or you can check out as a guest. I did the guest since I want us to use Google Checkout. They said they support Google checkout, but I couldn't figure it out.
Howard: I noticed that too. It's sort of weird. If you click on the checkout button from the hovering cart, you don't get that option. You need to visit the cart page first and you'll see the Google Checkout button towards the bottom of the page.
Annie: Ah, didn't catch that one.
Howard: Do you think the shipping is reasonable?
Annie: Maybe a little steep, but the prices are deeply discounted that we will still save money if we buy using their coupon codes. They have a $3 shipping return policy, so we don't have to pay full price if something doesn't fit.
Howard: I guess you're right, but I'm spoiled with Zappo's free shipping both ways.
Annie: No, you're just spoiled.
Howard: :)
Annie: In all, I like Sierra Trading Post. They have great prices and a great selection of clothing.
